Outside edge of the tyre contact patch is too hot

Adjust only if the outside edge of the tyre is hotter than the inside edge, or if the outside edge is only slightly cooler thant the inside edge.

Note: after a prolonged slide or a spin out, the load and therefor temperatures across the tyre surface will not be the same as after normal driving!

Change only one setting at a time in small increments

From more to less influence

  • Increase negative tyre camber
  • Decrease rear toe-int
  • Increase tyre pressures slightly

To decrease the temperature of the outside edge of the tyre and move it more to the inside, increasing the negative tyre camber will alter the position tyre so that it will lean more on the inside edge. Altering the camber will impact cornering performance.

If the tear tyres outside edge is not cooling off enough on the straights, it could be that the rear tyres are scrubbing too much along the straight, to help with this, you can reduce the front toe-in value (value closer to 0). Changing this will impact the turn-in performance of the car.

Lastly you can try an increase the tyre pressures slightly to try and help spread the load across a wider surface of the tyre.
